Impact: Paraffin wax, a common candle ingredient, is derived from petroleum. Disposing of it improperly contributes to landfill waste and can potentially leach harmful chemicals into the environment.

Did you know? Some candle wax can be safely composted, especially natural waxes like soy or beeswax. However, paraffin wax, derived from petroleum, is not compostable.
