The Waitara Transfer Station accepts a range of household waste, green waste, recycling, and problem waste including, but not limited to, general rubbish, furniture, fridges, and whiteware and scrap metal, and green waste.

Fridges and other items that contain harmful gases are accepted at the transfer station, but these items and the gases in them are handled in a safe manner and may be subject to additional fees.
Some items like car bodies may also be accepted but require pre-approval.
